Staff

Pastor John Sawyer and his wife Cathy were called to Ambassador Baptist Church in 2020. They came to Ambassador from West Jacksonville Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL where he served as Associate Pastor.

Pastor Sawyer graduated from Tabernacle Baptist College in 1991 with a Bachelor of Theology degree and served under Dr. Harold Sightler in Greenville, South Carolina.

He and his wife, Cathy, were married in 1990. Their son, John Robert, and his wife Alexis were married in 2017 and have blessed the Sawyers with two beautiful granddaughters.
